i have a stong liking for interesting trees. they seem to tell a story with their architecture that spans decades. i'm also a fan of the comparison and difference between the organic tree and the human made light pole.
I really like this shot because I know where it is and I have shot it before, however not in the same composition as you have, and I must say I like it very much. The mining towner and the tree balance each other and give the image a nice central draw for the eye.
was this taken with ur graflex? its very nice. I especially like the deranged tree, it adds a little extra.
